Shanoah has been tattooing since June, 2021 and loves working in surrealism, abstract realism, and illustrative realism styles. She would love to venture into more ornamental/abstract large scale pieces as well. She loves bringing realistic elements to her stylized take on tattooing. This allows her to see beyond real life and tattoo in a more imaginative way than realism alone. She makes many pre-drawn designs, but does custom work as well.
She can do various other types of tattoos including precise lettering, floral, realism, traditional, neo traditional, anime, and fine line. She has spent the majority of her career taking on all kinds of work, but lately has wanted to specialize more. She does mostly black and grey, and blackwork, but occasionally color.
Shanoah was born and raised in Appalachian East Tennessee, and has been drawing ever since she can remember. The beautiful surroundings of the wildlife and mountains inspired her to start creating art as a small child, always carrying around a tiny sketchbook and drawing what she saw. She comes from a large family that always encouraged her to draw and paint, as other members of her family are artistic as well! Showing her little tips and tricks along the way exponentially helped her growth as a young artist.
Shanoah had a full scholarship for visual art at East Tennessee State University, however she only completed one semester before realizing her dream of becoming a tattoo artist could not wait any longer, and college was not for her. She immediately began searching for an apprenticeship, and that was the start of it all! She tattooed in her hometown for about 2 years, but was ready to expand beyond that.
She joined Unify Tattoo Co. because she wants to work alongside more experienced artists and continue growing as a tattooer.
